In the past week, Acer has officially announced the plan to develop the electric car of their own and has also launched a pretty impressive ATV.
At the eCarTec trade fair held in Munich - Germany, a subsidiary of Acer named MPS Energy has officially launched an ATV electric terrain vehicle. The electric ATV model from Acer named X Terran is designed by X-Gene Studio and it uses the BMS battery management system which is produced by MPS Energy.
According to Acer, X Terran represents for Acer's latest step in cloud computing as well as its efforts in the area of vehicle connectivity. The hardware is developed by MPS Energy for X Terran includes a full-sized motherboard, 3 pieces of battery with the capacity of 18650 mAh, which comply with 256 standards of the electric car industry.
In total, the capacity of X Terran could reach up to 8.7 kWh. This is a remarkable achievement for a fledgling company like MPS Energy, the new capital was established in July Acer recently. The focus of this company is the battery solutions for intelligent vehicles, especially connected cars and “green” car.
