Nissan to test self-driving cars in the Japan’s streets

Japanese carmaker Nissan is beginning to test the self-driving cars, which are developed based on Nissan Leaf electric cars in the streets and expressways in Japan.
Nissan's prototype was equipped with a miniature laser scanner with high accuracy, which is used to evaluate the 3D space around the vehicle. Vehicles are also equipped with a 8 - directions camera system, providing 360-degree images and helping to handle situations more accurately on the complexity road or at the traffic intersections.
Currently, Nissan has just tested the self-driving car in the streets in Japan, but the company said it will soon be adding in some other countries. Nissan aims to launch self-driving vehicle technology completely in 2020.
