Initial reviews on Honda BR-V: the promising Crossover

The new Honda BR-V was introduced at Tokyo Auto Show 2015 and it is an extremely promising 7-seat crossover model of Honda this year.
BR-V Crossover is developed based on the platform of Honda Brio, using 1.5L i-VTEC engine with a capacity of 120 horsepower, 145 Nm of torque. The BR-V was born to complete the list of Honda Crossover to meet a variety of customer needs. Therefore, it will be likely to be cheaper than its brother model HR-V.

Appearance
The BR-V is 4.456mm long, 1.735mm wide and 1.606mm high with 201mm ground clearance. In terms of aesthetics, BR-V follows the core values of Honda with Exciting H Design of large grille and chromed fog lamp. The BR-V looks just like a mini version of the HR-V. According to Honda, BR-V possesses a spacy interior, even with 7 seats, which is a great advantage for this rookie.
Interior
The vehicle is equipped with 7 seats – the two first rows providing 5 seats while the back seats are enough for 2 adults. The final row can be folded flat to create a larger storage area when needed. Sitting in the last row can be cramped, but it’s different in the BR-V since the middle row can also be slided to create more spaces for back seats.
Engine
Honda BR-V uses the gasoline engine of 1.5L i-VTEC, in combination with CVT gearbox, a completely new development for small cars. The car consumes fuel at about 6.66 liters/100km and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 13 seconds. In terms of safety, Honda BR-V has dual airbags, antilock brakes (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (VSA) and a slope departure system.

Honda BR-V is developed exclusively for Asian markets and will be sold in the early of 2016.
